Surfrider Foundation South Vancouver Island is pleased to coordinate a public meetup on July 21st at 7 PM at 633 Courtney St to talk about the program: Blue Water Task Force (BWTF).
Discover how local volunteers are protecting our coastline through science and community action. The Blue Water Task Force is a volunteer-led water testing and education program that monitors over 15 recreational beaches and waterways across southern Vancouver Island, even during the off-season when official testing stops.
At this meetup, you’ll learn how we collect and analyze ocean water samples, explore real-time local water quality data, and discover how to get involved in year-round testing.
Whether you're a beachgoer, student, or environmental advocate, this is your chance to dive into the science that safeguards our shores.
Food and snacks will be provided. See you there.
