How long have you volunteered with Surfrider? Since the Whiffin Spit beach clean-up in 2015
Why did you become involved? It’s a simple job that I do anyways. Picking up in numbers is just so much more satisfying. We all love our waterways, unfortunately they have to be cleaned up constantly.
What was the last SFVI event you attended or volunteered at? August, Cadboro Bay
What is your favourite SFVI event/activity? Cleaning with other volunteers. Or volunteering at events. Remote clean ups in the near future hopefully.
What is the #1 thing you are doing to save our oceans? Cutting down on plastics as a family. Finding alternative sources. And picking up trash where I can.
What is your #1 tip to reduce single-use plastic use? Start with a reusable coffee cup, and water bottle and bags. It just gets easier and easier.
